Green Bay

Established in 1634 on the shores of Lake Michigan, the city of Green Bay is the oldest settlement in the Midwest. Steeped in historical tradition, Greater Green Bay’s historical background can be explored at one of the area’s museums and historical houses. Visitors can explore Wisconsin’s path to statehood at the Hazelwood Historic House, experience life of the early settlers at Heritage Hill State Historical Park, ride the rails at the National Railroad Museum, take in history and artifacts at the Neville Public Museum, or dine in a renovated C&NW passenger train depot at Titletown Brewing Company.

Today, this city may be most famous for its namesake Green Bay Packers whose legendary past and present can be viewed at the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame at Lambeau Field. In the Lambeau Field entertainment district, you can experience the excitement and variety of retail shops, restaurants, and a shopping mall that are all located within a few minutes of Riverplace.

Yet, the city’s appeal rests on a blend of many more elements that combine small town charm with big city excitement. Its attractions include the performing arts, gambling, and one-of-a-kind museums.
